These four numbers are not interchangeable and must never be added together: Dubai counts international overnight visitors, Abu Dhabi counts hotel guests, Ras Al Khaimah counts overnight visitors. The Sharjah figure is a consultant's estimate, not a government release. Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah publish no annual tourism figures at all, which is recorded here as a dash rather than filled with a guess. The national total of 32 million hotel guests comes from the Ministry of Economy and Tourism report of 25 May 2026.

2025 is the base year throughout this site — the last complete one and the last normal one. From March 2026 the regional conflict cut air traffic sharply and some properties paused operations, so 2026 figures will describe a different market when they are published.
