Same-day arrival resorts

Kaafu is the only atoll on a round-the-clock speedboat transfer, and Vaavu is the only other atoll reachable by sea without switching to air. Everywhere else, a late long-haul arrival costs a night in Hulhumale'.

That single fact is why Kaafu holds 44.3% of the country's arrivals and 58 of its resorts. It is the market for short stays, stopovers and anything where the flight lands in the evening.
